The wine road of Entre-deux-Mers, which guides the visitors from the Sauve Majeure Abbey, a site protected by the Unesco, to the many castles through the region, loaded with history and an important wine past. One can learn for example how wines were produced by the Benedectines of the Middle-Ages, and that the first vines were planted by the Romans, more than 2000 years ago.

The wine road of Graves and Sauternes, through which one can find prestigious wines which names resonate as excellency wines: Graves, Pessac-Léognan, Barsac and Sauternes. One can learn for example that Graves’ reputation comes from the claret, a light and light-colored red wine, which Englishmen loved at the time of Aliénor d’Aquitaine, married to the king of England during the XIIth century, to the extent of using the name (claret) when they allude to the best red Bordeaux.

The Médoc wine road, on the départementale D2, called the “castles road”, as on this very same 80 kilometers long road are standing the most prestigious of the classified Grands Crus of Bordeaux, as well as the Crus Bourgeois.

The Saint-Emilion, Pomerol and Fronsac wine road, on the right shore of the Dordogne, between Bordeaux and Bergerac. There is the superb medieval city of Saint-Emilion, which the Unesco World Heritage considers a “cultural paysage”.
