Feeling a little blue? Boost your confidence with these 5 simple steps

It’s hard to feel utterly fabulous these days when we constantly have what is considered to be perfect or “the ideal” rubbed in our faces at every given opportunity.

Don’t worry, we all feel a little glum at times. When my skin decides to flare up and gift me with spots all over the place, I just want to hide under the covers and cry until they’ve disappeared, but sometimes that’s just not an option.

Often, it’s how you feel on the inside that actually makes a big difference. Being happy always makes you look better, so ensuring you are laughing your way through the way is the most important tip I can give. But if that’s not enough, and you’re worried about laughter lines, then perhaps try out some of the tips below.

  1. Plastic surgery alternatives

Getting work done by a plastic surgeon is a pretty big (and scary) thing. If you’re feeling in the dumps about the fact you’re getting and looking older (aren’t we all), it doesn’t mean that you have to rush out to get a facelift just yet! Jump on the anti-wrinkle cream wagon and if that doesn’t give you the results you’re looking for then check out these non surgical alternatives or read my post on anti-aging tips.

  1. Get a makeover

Now, you have two choices. One is far cheaper than the other too! If you’re merely seeking a quick pick me up then head on into your local beauty store and get them to try out different products on you. They can help you find out what shade of lipstick suits you best and you don’t have to buy a thing. Or, you could indulge and get a professional makeover.

  1. Clothes

Do we ever need a reason to buy more clothes? I don’t think so, but it won’t do any harm to tell your hubby that you just NEEDED to, will it? Also, if you’re feeling bad about your weight then buy some clothes the next size down from you and follow a drop a dress size diet to help you squeeze into them.

  1. Smile honey

If you avoid smiling at all costs because you hate your teeth, then perhaps consider getting your smile fixed! Dentists can work miracles, so whether you’re wanting whiter teeth or a completely new set, find a local dentist on Dentists.Nhere.me and start smiling again soon.

  1. Pamper yourself because you deserve it

Honestly, who wouldn’t want to spend the day being pampered? Obviously it’s much better when someone else is doing it for you but that sort of luxury will raid the bank, so you can always do it yourself with these cheap pamper alternatives.

  1. Get a really good night’s sleep

One of the best ways to rejuvenate your body is to give it plenty of sleep. Grab plenty of zzzzz’s as it could be sleep deprivation that’s making you look and feel awful. Treat yourself to an early night or take a day off from your hectic life so you can lay in.
